Axial-vector exchange contribution to the hyperfine splitting
The hyperfine splitting (HFS) of muonic hydrogen can help shedding light on the proton structure.
In particular, it gives access to the Zemach radius, that is related to the proton electric and magnetic form factors.
Extracting such radius requires however to subtract different effects contributing to the HFS, among them, those known as two-photon exchange contributions. In this talk, we will review the contribution from axial-vector mesons, that belong to this class of contributions.
In particular, we will pay special attention on how to model such contribution: from the tensor basis to describe the relevant axial-vector meson form factors as well as their appropriate high-energy behavior, to the coupling of such mesons to the proton.
